City of Evansville is Hiring a Laboratory Technician Near Evansville, IN
DUTIES: Perform analytical processes with a high degree of accuracy, precision and record-keeping that meets quality control standards. Collect water samples from various locations throughout distribution system. Perform calibration and essential maintenance on lab equipment. Monitor lab inventory. Prepares, reviews, and submits water quality monitoring reports for compliance and non-compliance. Respond to customer concerns and complaints regarding water quality. Performs other duties as assigned and assists other employees as required. Works any shift, overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have an IDEM WT-5 Surface Water Operator’s License within eighteen (18) months of placement. A minimum of Bachelor's degree in a Biological Science, Environmental, or Civil is required. May be subject to taking a pre-employment exam. Must exercise sound judgment by following appropriate methods and procedures. Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license. Have excellent written, oral and verbal communication skills. Must be able to interpret, write, and understand work processes, regulations and standards. Be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
